"In cellular biology, the term symport is used to denote an integral membrane protein that transports two or more molecules or ions in the same direction through a membrane. As an exhibition, Symport is a show comprised of the work of recent and current graduate students of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.Examining the overlapping themes developed from working in close proximity for two years, this molecular process becomes an analogy for the synergy of the show. The gallery space itself is then utilized as a platform for inquiries into the diffusion of body and object, selective spatial barriers, and the content-based intersections of multiple media.”The show includes work by Kendall Martin Babl, Angharad Davies, Anastasia Douka, Nico Gardner, Michael H. Hall, Matthew Jernigan, Annie Kielman, Christina Kostoff, Phil Peters, Antoinette Suiter, Vincent Tiley, and Jiyoung Yoon. Curated by Antoinette Suiter 10pm- MAP’s OOO After Party rear lot
